Channeling in RA?
In RA last night.. I just threw together my monk build and decided to put channeling into it.
It was working, really well actually.
Why hasn't it been used before?

i use it a lot for ra when i do mo/me
part of why u dont see it in RA is cuz most RA monks suck and think they can only run meta. ive seen good monks in RA from time from "[WM], [dR], [rawr], [sup]" using it

That's not true. With the rampant amount of KD + Monk hate in general (Mes shutdowns/Megabane interrupters/etc) most monks have turned to other lines for defensive purposes.
The returns from Channeling are minimal at best.

as for interrupter its called cancel action most rangers and mesmers in RA are spamers any way

Also, I'm not big on Channeling in RA, although if you're going /Me for hex breaker, it could be a decent option. The thing about Channeling in 4v4 is that there aren't always going to be many things close enough for Channeling to give a ton of energy, but it can work. I just prefer other skills.

^Guessing by your gold trim, and the lack of mine, I'll trust you.
But... it works really well when I get energy back going WoH. I mean... it's better then.. not getting any energy back.

Bad way to judge whether to trust or not. Some people have bought invites just to get the gold trim. But anyways, channeling just isn't worth it. I normally haven't had an e-management problems in RA unless we are up against a team with spread out pressure. But even then it isn't too bad. I just see channeling as a wasted skill spot tbh.

GoLE is much more popular in HA and GvG, I do believe. Normally I don't run GoLE in RA. That is because the hybrid WoH works just fine and you don't have a real need for GoLE. But really e-managment in RA should not be a problem because the battles are fast and most of the damage is focused.

Uh....Channeling in Ra. Great idea...except it gets stripped 2 seconds into battle. and anyways, there aren't enough people there to effectively use it well anyways.
Go /A or /W for Smoke Powder D, Dark Escape, Return, Balanced Stance, or Frenzied Defense...that way when a hammer war comes at you and spikes you, you don't die in a second...

It's not, really.
You can just run a majority of small prots and probably one large prot and having mostly 5 energy skills on your bar is energy management enough.
Return is epic fun too

You're terribad in RA ^_^
I mean, what kind of monk doesn't take dust trap?
Channeling is alright for most monk builds on most maps in HA, just because of the retarded design of the fights.
If every map was a capture point type, then I'd say GoLE or other emanagement would be more worth it.
